Bluesfest Comes to Manchester!
With over more than 16,000 fans joining in with Bluesfest 2011 in London, the event, celebrating the best of blues, jazz and soul, sees more of the biggest names in those genres coming together for 2012. The event was so popular last year that the creators of Bluesfest have expanded to create a northern counterpart – in Manchester!

The 10 day celebration will run from 26th June – 3rd July, including the likes of George Benson at the Bridgewater Hall, Tom Jones, new talent such as JJ Gray. Amongst those playing in Manchester, John Hyatt and Gov’t Mule will also both be performing at HMV Ritz in Manchester as part of the northern carnival.
John Hyatt is a legendary rock guitarist and piano player whose mixture of rock ‘n’ roll, blues and folk has made him a favourite since his breakthrough album Bring the Family in 1987. Hyatt’s ability to produce stark and witty lyrics to go along his music promises to make this an event to remember!
Rock band Gov’t Mule successfully bring some upbeat American rock to this year’s Bluesfest. With a package of sold out coast-to-coast tours and seven critically acclaimed albums under their belt, they’re no strangers to working hard in order to create the best performances for their ever growing fan base.

Bluesfest 2012 aims to bring a deliciously broad taste of musicians within the blues genre and those that have been influenced by this powerful music. Plenty more names are expected to be added to the line-up in the upcoming weeks and promises to be an event that will raise your spirits and tap your shoes.
Tickets for the event are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting www.bluesfest.co.uk
