Eurocultured Street Festival 2012: Spicing Up Manchester with the Best of Continental Culture

The Euroculture Street Festival returns to Manchester city for its 9th year of amazing experiences on Sunday 3rd June and Monday 4th June.
As in previous years its creators have planned for a diverse mix of the best in continental culture from a variety of different mediums; what better way to celebrate the summer than being entertained by visual artists, performers and musicians over this 2 day festival?
Whilst the list of people involved continues to grow and over 100 bands and DJs are expected, the first wave of artists has been announced. Amongst the highlights so far, you can expect to see The Correspondents, Jim Noir, The Japanese Popstars (Ireland), Zakopower (Poland), Birdy Nam Nam (France) and Folks and Cherrystones.
With a host of outdoor and indoor venues scattered amongst the streets and buildings around Oxford Road train station, there will be plenty of places to discover and explore. With an array of Europe’s illustrators, graffiti, tattoo and street artists taking part in this year’s festival the streets of Manchester will be transformed into another world, and with plenty of slots still open for some of Europe’s leading artists, the event promises to impress! Look out especially for Low Bros (Germany) and Etam Crew (Poland) who will be making an appearance.

Elsewhere on the scene dance and performances will be marking their own territory with an infusion of eclectic entertainment. The Hooping Harlots will be showing off their hoola hoop skills throughout the event, complimented by the Whim Wham Club who will be presenting their ‘Sideshow Sensations’ – expect cabaret acts, contortionists and conjurers to bring some more traditional amusement! If this isn’t quite your cup to tea, Euroculture Street Festival will also be hosting an international 2 vs 2 breakdance competition with live band Floor Rippers to provide the beats, and Ukranian Folk Dance Emsemble ‘Orlyk’ will also be showing their moves.
Other performers and musicians already announced include: Silverclub, Skittles, Vieka, Hot Beat Repeat, Fallacy, Dub Phizix, Chimpo, Fox, Bwani Junction, Rich Reason, Lottery Winners, Blind Atlas, The Feud, Broke n £nglish, Hawker Reunion, City Reign, Linkwood and many more!

Euroculture Street Festival has been commended as the best value boutique festival in the UK and beyond due to its unique atmosphere and low entry fee, which stand at £20 for a 2 day ticket or £15 for a 1 day ticket in advance.
Tickets can be bought via Skiddle.
