Factory251 - The Second Birthday In Two Parts

The mad is being firmly placed back in Madchester over the next two weekends, as Factory251 is gearing up for its birthday. There’s no place for party hats and musical chairs though, as the indie rock ‘n’ roll club is entering its “terrible twos” and is going to celebrate with pure carnage.
Factory251 has enjoyed surging popularity and rave reviews in its two short years as the old Factory Records office incumbent. The club is co-owned Joy Division legend Peter Hook and Tokyo Industries Ltd, which operates 24 live music venues in the UK including Manchester’s South. Now the club ranks amongst the glitterati of Manchester’s music venues - with The New York Times labelling it a “must see” - and is the heir to the rock ‘n’ roll thrown that had been left unoccupied since the folding of legendary Haçienda in 1997.
The birthday parties throw in a couple of freebies for good measure, with a free cinema screening and band set amongst the weekends’ awesome DJ-soaked line up. We at Large certainly wish Factory251 the happiest of birthdays and will raising a glass to the next two years of the Madchester revival.
