‘Magic’ Weekend of Rugby at the Etihad Stadium

Friday 26th and Saturday 27th May 2012

 

The Rugby Football League (RFL) has announced that the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, will host a full round of Super League fixtures that should prove to be one of the highlights of the 2012 Super League season.

The first of annual event, dubbed ‘Magic Weekend’, was held in 2007 in Wales and this May the event is coming to Manchester! A total of seven Super League matches will take place over the two days in order to showcase the sport. One fixture to keep an eye on in particular is the finale – a rerun of the 2010 Super League Grand Final between Wigan Warriors and St Helens. Make sure you don’t miss out!
