Crowds turned up despite the wet weather as Street Striker visits Manchester in the search for un-tapped talent. Budding footballers lined up for their chance to impress a panel of judges and progress further in the competition.

Manchester’s Cathedral gardens had been decked out to form a gritty urban street complete with broken pallets, and other typical street furniture and footballers had 3 or 4 chances to control a ball from height and strike it into a skip, tyre or bin…….all in view of a towering billboard of Wayne Rooney.

During the competition Coke Zero provided their own free style football talent to entertain the crowds with their tricks whilst dishing out free drinks to the adoring crowds. The budding hopefuls will now have to wait and see if they can win this round of the competition, which is a strong possibility with the reputation Manchester has as a football mad city. |
