St. Ann's Square Markets 2012

Manchester Markets are to hook the city's people this June with an array of specialist markets in the charming St. Ann's Square. For 17 days the location will be awash with stalls and the first to take reign, from 8th 'til 9th June is the reader's favourite, the Independent Book Market. Organised in conjunction with Literature North West, the book market promises live readings of poetry, fiction and children's stories, offering literature that is not necessarily available on the high street.
Come 10th June and the square is very different setting with the scent of freshly baked goods rising in the air. As part of Manchester Day Parade, Manchester Day Cake and Bake Sale brings together the city's best bakers, providing the finest cakes, biscuits and breads. The perfect addition for celebrating pride in your city!
Fast forward to 14th and St. Ann's Food Fair takes charge, showcasing local producers and purveyors of fine food and drink until 17th June. Definitely a must for any food lover who fancies themselves a critic, or is even just craving to try something new!
The
last, but not least, of St. Ann's June Markets is the ever creative,
Manchester Craft and Gift Market, running from 21st
until 24th
June. The region's most innovative designers are set to display and
sell their stunning handmade products, for those who want to treat
themselves to a unique piece of jewellery.
And while the markets are always on the change, St. Ann's Square are launching an alfresco cafe and bar alongside the stalls, which will run for the entirety of the 17 days. Take a break from shopping and indulge by choosing from the vast and varied selection of tasty dishes at the cafe, including Spanish Paella, Bubble and Squeak, home made curries and much more!
