Uber Lounge's Uber Launch!

 

Castlefield gives a warm welcome to it's stylish new cocktail bar, Uber Lounge, which is the latest edition to Manchester's happening bar scene. The stunningly sophisticated and lavish new venue, made it's launch on Thursday 8th March, enticing it's guests with 29 delicious and innovative new cocktails. Elegantly hidden under Castlefield's bridge arches, the new bar presents a chic and intimate lounge area, as well as a sparkly outside balcony terrace, overlooking Manchester's ship canal.

The grand opening was a tremendous success, no doubt thanks to Uber Lounge's extreme attention to detail. Right from the off, Uber Lounge sets out to wow you, as you are greeted by fabulous feathered women on stilts, implying the venue's exclusivity. As you pass by the door men and your coat is taken, you enter into lounge, radiating the bar's signature colour, purple, which accompanied by the subtle lighting, creates a chilled out atmosphere. The sleek aesthetic transcends through the plush velvet booths, the glowing table tops and the line of chandeliers which hang down over the bar area. Best of all, the DJ's funky mix of classic's from 70's, 80's and 90's, brings out the vibe of a laid back disco.

Complimentary cocktail samples were provided throughout the evening, including a Lemon Meringue concoction, and a personal favourite of mine, a Strawberries & Cream creation, quirkily served in a jam jar. The pleasantly attentive waiting team also served out nibbles of food, including chicken and prawn skewers.

All in all, a very enjoyable evening and the perfect place to go for pre-dinner or after-dinner drinks with friends or co-workers. Uber Lounge is open every Thursday to Sunday, from 7pm 'til late.
